HOUBO COLLEGE CAMPUS FRAMEWORK PLAN

Karamay is quickly becoming the “Global Energy City of the Future,” a bold vision established in the City’s 2050 Vision Plan that is currently being realized.

On December 6, 2012, Karamay City and Xinjiang Medical University signed an agreement to locate Houbo College in Karamay as part of the 2050 Vision. This agreement represents a significant step in Karamay’s development into a Global City: along with Karamay University, HouBo College and Comprehensive Hospital will add another valuable piece of social infrastructure to the City, in the form of medical education and treatment. It brings together two inspiring visions: Xinjiang Medical University, a leader in regional and international medical education, and Karamay City, already under inspiring transformation into a Global Energy City of the Future. By partnering to create Houbo College and Comprehensive Hospital, Karamay City and Xinjiang Medical University will produce future physicians and health science professionals who will enhance the quality of life for people in Xinjiang Province and beyond. A new Comprehensive Hospital, along with its college facilities, will bring best-practice healthcare to the Karamay region, dramatically improving the social welfare of its people.
